It is a great place if you want shopping and to get sweet deals, visit Mango and Zara as well as Court Englese. There are also couple nice spots to rest for a drink and local tapas.

This is the continuation of the majestic grant via. The total length is about 2 and a half kilometres in total. Full of shops and restaurants though no where near on the same scale as gran via. It so has a huge El cortex Ingles...More

I have stayed in this area (Melia hotel which was awful years ago) but this time only came to walk from the Templo Debod north to the very large department store at Arguelles. There are various shops and cafes along this road and a shopping...More

The biggest and the most important shopping street of Madrid. Classic buildings, old constructions, full of diversity. You can see all the big fancy shops, you can find restaurants and hotels, so enjoy it !!

We stayed at the Marriott Princesa which is attached to El Cortes Ingles department store. It was a good location with plenty of shops and restaurants along the street.

Calle Princesa has very good shopping. There is a large El Corte Ingles Department Store, as well a numerous smaller stores. It is also the place where one can see the facade of the beautiful Palacio de Liria, the home of the Duke of Alba.

It's just another big street in the city centre. Nothing special, less spectacular than the Gran Vía.

Calle Princesa has many stores and the biggest is the department store of El Corte Ingles. This is the biggest chain store in Spain and has quality merchandise.

This is the continuation of the very grand gran via. Full of shops and some interesting sites. Not as impressive as the majestic gran via but a very long lively street none the less.

We have a friend who lives nearby and we visit her every time we go to Madrid. So we always pass Calle Princesa. There is a large El Corte Ingles store there and also the famous Palacio de Liria.

Just south of the sprawling campus of the Complutense
University of Madrid, Arguelles exudes a fast-paced,
collegiate vibe. The main street, Calle Princesa, is
filled with twenty-somethings rushing between classes
and errands, meeting up with classmates, and grabbing
cheap beers and cheap eats. This is a prime shopping
spot where the major Spanish clothing and department
store chains are less busy than their downtown
