Lope de Vega Statue is in front of the Monastery of the Encarnation and as he was a famous writer he's suitably depicted with a text in hand. He died in 1635.

Just a few meters from the ''Plaza de Oriente'', this uninteresting statue in honor of Lope de Vega is only a low profile attraction, if you are around in the area, fine...visit it, otherwise don't worry, it's just a statue.

The bronze statue of Felix Lope de Vega was created by the sculptor Mateo Inurria and the project was created by the architect Jose Lopez Salaberry. The statue shows the writer reading a book. This monument is very good.
