Nice little walk along the sea front. Nothing particularly special unless you're a huge boat fan. Careful cause it can get windy even on warm days

Our Seabourn ship docked here at the cruise terminal, which is all of 5 minutes from the city center. It is located in the Port's Marina area, on the northern end. The Mediterranean Sea is an exceptionally beautiful body of water and this setting was second-to-none. Often, cruise ships will be docked in heavily industrialized commercial areas, in the company of oil tankers and all manner of container ships, etc. Not so here. The short stroll to the Old Town (straight ahead) passes through an expansive green belt, adorned with interesting sculptures (like a head) and bronze soldiers either pensively sitting on a bench or striding along the palm tree lined promenade to the Old Town. As a cruise ship passenger, there were many unique ship-board opportunities to view the marina, its buildings and fortifications, and its inherent natural beauty. The contours of the layers of hills expressed themselves in shades of purple, blue, and soft grays. Cartagena is a very beautiful city full of historical sights (and sites) and the marina was a perfect way to make its acquaintance. During our (small ship) docking, a really huge Disney cruise ship came into to dock. Wow, what a sea of humanity it disgorged!
