This is a small but beautyful and well made private museum completely owned by the convent (place and all shown objects). After the entrance you pass a forecourt to the museum wing. Important note: only a certain part (approx 1/4) of the monastery is accessible, the rest is being used by the convent thus closed to the public which unfortunately... More

This convent was built on top of a Islamic Palace and houses a fine museum of religious artifacts and a series of 17th and 18th paintings. The convent is still lived in by nuns. This is a 2 minute walk from the Cathedral and has glass doors entrance and is free entrance so has got to be worth a look.... More

It was one of the most surprising things we did while in Murcia. Been able to walk inside a cloistered monastery is something one cannot get to do everyday. Amazing experience and amazing tour. And the guided tour is free. Just schedule a time for an English or Spanish guided tour and take a stroll through history. Great!!

This was a fantastic little place with a long history. It houses some very nice pieces and gives a glimpse into life in a small palace that is older than the Alhambra! A beautiful place to ponder history as well as monastic life. Well worth seeking it out.

We stumbled across the Monastery of Santa Clara. We didn't have any expectations and were amazed at the amount of relics and antiquities the order have preserved there. Charting the history of the site and the changes from Islamic to Christian doctrines In Murcia, the visitors centre has much to see. The highlight for me is the remains of the... More

I visited this monastery with my husband yesterday and it was beautiful. I did not take my son as it is a very quiet place. The staff do not speak very much English so we did not take a guide but if you do speak Spanish there is a guide available. All of the information on the exhibits is in... More

Good place to visit for the museum and the spectacular pool. You have to be quiet when going round so it is cool and peaceful
