A wonderful place to get a sense of history and to see what a fortified city would look like. The pulley and gear mechanism for the drawbridge is still partially intact. A quiet place for contemplation.

It's a big fortress with surrounding walls, OK for relaxing in the sun and gives a bit of a haven from the busy city but not much to see really and wouldn't spend too much time there.

Well preserved Castro. Nice to walk around. Surrounded by a park and conveniently close to Old Town.

The fortress and the walls are simply very impressive. They offer a beautiful tour and view of the city. We spent hours walking around and thoroughly enjoyed it. The walk is very easy and suitable for all ages.

The fortress walls are a bit of a walk to get to but well worth the effort. What remains is only a part of what existed but it is still very impressive for the scale of the building. A replica can be seen at the Archive Building next to the Cathedral Hotel.

I hadn't have the time to visit the fortress and walls of Pamplona in my previous stays, so I'm glad I did it this time, as they are huge and impressive, and because they are also quite well preserved.

Walk round the walls, look down at the birds and animals in the old moat, it is so peaceful and pretty. On a sunny day you could not be anywhere nicer. All Pamplona parks are clean and well looked after. There are really lovely walks all over the city.
