We stayed last March in Alicante area and we spend a couple of days in the city. This beach is great because you walk 3 minutes from the city centre and then your feet are in the mediterranean sea! And you can see the mountains and the castle from there. Confortable and relaxing!

took a day trip to Alicante and the bus stopped right by the beach. Beatiful sands and sea. very clean and tidy. popular with both tourists and locals. Play areas for kids dotted about on the beach. Nice promenade with some lovely looking restaurants. A few local police patrolling the area. didn't feel this was a problem in fact was... More

we stayed in a wonderful hotel, thought the beach was beautful and the water excellent for swimming but nobody warned us that there were dangerous jelly fish in the water. I was attacked while out swimming, no lifeguard, no red cross I made it back to the hotel where they said I had to go to Hospital immediately. I had... More

Beautiful beach with great facilities close to hand. Food and drink not expensive either. Plenty of sun loungers to hire.

Great beach. Plenty of loungers and umbrellas. The lounger guy will even go and get you a beer! Could do with more toilets and some more places to eat along the front. Nice breeze off the sea which was welcome in high temps!

Clean and well looked after. Could do with more choice of eateries as we only really saw 3. But they were all friendly and reasonably priced. By far the BEST sangria was in the little bar on the beach itself. You do get a lot of beggars and street vendors coming up to you, which did get a bit much... More

Came to the beach shortly after sunset and after visiting the Santa Barbara Castle. The sands of the beach were not that soft but still quite clean. At night, there were barely anyone at the beach except for evening strollers and dog walkers. From the beach, we can see the beautifully lite castle above and the sea beyond. It was... More

This city beach with golden sand is right in the heart of Alicante, so it can get very crowded with locals and tourists alike. There is the promenade along it with bars and restaurants and good palm tree shade. Vivid, fun and enjoyable.

The water is very clean. Beautiful residential buildings overlooking the beach and the Mediterranean Sea. There are restaurants, shops, lifeguards and locals / tourists basking in the sun. A clear demarcated area for a swim. The sunrise from here was one of the best we have seen so far. The elevator taking you to the top of the castle of... More

It's so wonderful taking a swim here, lying in the sand or under a parasol on one of the many beach beds watching the boats and the lazy life going on at the beach. Here are tourists from a lot of countries, but mostly here are Spanish locals. White doves are walking by looking for something to eat, here are... More
