What an amazing drive with amazing views! Drove to Amalfi from Naples with a tour group. It was incredibly beautiful. Very winding roads, so take some Dramamine if you’re prone to motion sickness. Happened to run into massive sheep and their herder at one point...More

We drove this road on a tour bus and it was an amazing drive. The views of the coast are fantastic and definitely a must do if you are travelling to this neck of the woods.

Our Gate One tour group toured by chartered bus the narrow, winding, cliffside road to Amalfi, stopping briefly at Positano and other spots along the way. Spectacular scenery, and a white knuckle road to equal that of our nearby Big Sur in California. Local guide...More

This was our first visit to the Amalfi and I have to say we fell in love with the whole coast. It was truly a breathtaking experience. We were on a private tour and we started in Salerno and drove the coast road with brief...More

We rented a car and drove on our own without any issues. The coast is unbelievable with steep cliffs and towns nestled between the cliffs and the sea. We loved it! The road is steep, narrow, and winding. We made frequent stops to take in...More

The (in)famous Amalfi Coast. Talking numbers it is not that long a distance. But due to lots of winding turns and narrow streets through the towns it takes a while to do it. And of course the many many view points will slow you down...More

Beautiful views and places to stop, positano was my favourite. We stopped at Amalfi and ravello before repeating the drive back to Sorrento. Loads of places to eat, drink, take boat tours, shop etc. Best to sit on the right side of vehicle unless you...More

If you go from Sorrento to Amalfi, sit on the right. The views are spectacular. It’s not for the faint-hearted and you often wonder how two coaches get past each other on what appears to be a single track road (usually with a scooter squeezing...More

Driving is ok but it is very twisty and with coaches and cars parked it can be challenging. We used a driver as it wasn't too expensive and he knew where to take us for the views etc
