Really really nice but some drivers do not hesitate to take some risks on this road, moreover the bus and the caravan create often some traffic jams. The coast itself is really nice but I suggest to move by boat.

We had a day trip to Amalfi from Naples and the views from this drive and turnouts along the route were spectacular! The drive itself was extremely fun as the road is extremely narrow and it seems like you will hit cars coming in the...More

My friend and I went on TUI’s amalphi drive tour from Sorrento, what a big mistake that was for 54 euros, unfortunately we were not told that the coach only went one way along the Amalphi coast and came back along the dual carriageway so...More

Whether you drive this yourself or are driven this drive is not to be missed. It is a stunning coast line. Go as early in the day as you can driving from north to south. Do not plan to stop. Expect delays do to traffic...More

Firstly, the scenery and views are beautiful although too busy concentrating on the road to see them. Went to the Amalfi Coast in 2012 and my husband wrote the car off (only had hired car for 2 hours) due to another driver not moving over...More

Full attention to the road and good judgement of distance required when driving here. Second time for us and it is the last. We were here 10 years ago and the traffic has increased considerably. ALSO, parking is difficult. For us there are nicer places...More

We drove the amalfi coast from Sorrento to Salerno, driving it in this direction means you are driving at the see side having the best views from the car, we left Sorrento around 10.30 and it was easy to find a paid parking space in...More

Drive from Sorrento to Positano in August. The coast is beautiful but Positano is tourist hell; absolutely nothing authentic or attractive about it at all.

Disappointed with the holiday. The Douro Splendour was advertised as a new ship, our cabin smelled from the bathroom drain. My wife’s GF diet could not be accommodated. Complained most days but staff failed to resolve the issues. A complaint to the Managing director asking...More

You are much better off driving. If you have never driven that road you should indeed leave extra early. The very narrow road does not leave much room for error and the traffic will slow you down especially on a Saturday... More

Our car was $37 a day plus we spent about $60 on gas. It's a good drive.

Driving is ok but it is very twisty and with coaches and cars parked it can be challenging. We used a driver as it wasn't too expensive and he knew where to take us for the views etc
