Driving from Salerno to Naples along the Amalfi coast was a once in a lifetime experience as although a beautiful coastline, you may only want to drive it once due to the craziness. As many others have commented, you have to drive crazy to join...More

Narrow and windy road with fabulous sea and cliff views. We hired a private tour guide and driver to drive us, so we got to see the beautiful view all along the way. We were there on Monday on 4/30/18 and traffic was bumper to...More

My wife and I both really enjoyed the drive around the coast. We always hire a car wherever we go to visit places and stay the amount of time we like too. Only problem is there are not many places to stop safely for photos...More

We took the public bus ride from Salerno to Amalfi to Positano. For heavens sake, don't drive. The driver won't get a chance to enjoy the scenery or the ride, nor will the passengers. The bus drivers maneuver the buses with great skill, backing up...More

We had heard about this coast all of our lives and finally decided to go see it. Unfortunately we left somewhat disappointed. First, the traffic is even worse than you have heard. Narrow one lane traffic in each direction and so narrow that in many...More

Cool road, narrow in some points but with little chances of accidents due to low speeding. You can discover incredibly beautiful landscapes after each curve, and there are a lot till Positano :). The road to Ravello and Agerola are simply astonishing, a curvy road...More

You are much better off driving. If you have never driven that road you should indeed leave extra early. The very narrow road does not leave much room for error and the traffic will slow you down especially on a Saturday... More

Driving is ok but it is very twisty and with coaches and cars parked it can be challenging. We used a driver as it wasn't too expensive and he knew where to take us for the views etc
