I can proudly say I've driven the whole Europe. It has many scenic and wonderful places to drive, but above Austria's and Swiss' scenic mountain and lakes drives, Norwegian fjords or South France's Cote d'Azur, this one stands atop of them all. This around 50...More

We caught the SITA bus from outside the train station. A day ticket is the best option if you intend to get on off and on and costs 8 euros. Sit on the right hand side (facing the driver) on the way there and the...More

We went on this road with a driver to get to atrani which was not bad because he knew what he was doing. I felt safe in the car but we were behind someone that obviously rented a car because he was driving extremely slow...More

Myself and a friend hired a car and drove from Rome, using the coast road to reach Positano for one night stay. Before continuing along the coast through Amalfi, quick detour to Revello and on to the national park. Having never driven in Italy before...More

I drove this several times, not a drive for the faint hearted or anyone of a nervous nature. This would be stunning on a bus and several bus routes do travel part of the route. The biggest problem has to be the endless stream of...More

UNESCO made it a world heritage area and you can see why. Colourful houses hugging the cliffs that abut the Amalfi coast makes for spectacular scene. This coupled with the natural beauty gives this coastline that something special people come from all over the world...More

This has got to be one of the most amazing experiences we have ever done. What an phenomenal day we had. Beautiful drive along the Amalfi Coast stopping at Positano and Amalfi, both as beautiful as each other. The narrow coastal road can often appear...More

I woudn't drive it in Summer. I might drive it in very low season for a charity for extraordinarily neglected/suffering innocents. I did catch the bus along the entire length (Positano to Salerno) and the views; drops; villas; vistas; forts; stacks; coves; super-yachts and gorges...More

Not for the faint of heart, it's tough and narrow. The views are awesome... Some places only one car can pass. Steep cliffs... But it's wonderful...

Thank you to my husband for driving. We travelled the coast road starting from the Naples side right around Sorrento, Positano, Praiano, Amalfi and through to Salerno. Absolutely fantastic, exciting, exhilarating, frightening (at times), hair raising, beautiful, fantastic........

Driving is ok but it is very twisty and with coaches and cars parked it can be challenging. We used a driver as it wasn't too expensive and he knew where to take us for the views etc

Hi - That is a lot of driving but certainly you could accomplish all you want to see along the Amalfi Coast in two days before heading back up north. That should give you enough time to do all the other things you... More
