It's surprisingly large (including the annexes and the interiors) given its location in the heart of Amalfi. The relics of Saint Andrew the apostle are housed here. Interesting to see the "investments" of the local wealthy of the times.
We visited with our history loving teenage son and we all loved the sweeping steps to the front, the amazing cloister, fascinating museum and the crypt and cathedral. The crypt is not at all spooky and is said to house to tomb of St Andrew....More

Visited today beautiful cathedral with some amazing pieces inside. Free hand book in lots of different nationalities available and was well worth the three euros entry charge. Just remember that when visiting the crypt that shoulders must be covered, but they do provide paper shawls...More
