Enjoyed the trek to the ruin but was surprised by how many seps it took to get down to Amalfi. If we had known would have gone back to town for a bus down. Someone said 1400 steps, for sure it was a 1000. The hiking around to get there was great. We went from Ravello.

Hiked/walked up hundreds of steps from Amalfi to a viewpoint above the tower/castle. Got lost several times. Then walked down to the tower which is part of a small castle. Fantastic views of Amalfi and nearby Atrani. You can enter the tower and climb up the secure metal staircase to the top. I took a different route down to Atrani... More

A bit of a hike, but absolutely worth it for the views. We hiked from Amalfi to Pontone, and then hiked the Torre dello Ziro. There's quite a few stairs along the way, but there are 3 or 4 vantage points that offer amazing views over Amalfi, Atrani, and the Amalfi Coast. It was a peaceful hike (we didn't see... More

We walked from Scala (elevation 360m) to Atrani (sea level) along La Torre dello Ziro trail. This is a great walk through beautiful villages (Scala, Minuta, Pontone) and amazing panoramic views of Atrani, Amalifi and the Mediterranean Sea. We caught the bus from Amalfi to Ravello, getting of near Scala. We walked 1km up to Scala and started the walk.... More

We took the bus to Ravello from Amalfi and obtained a map from the tourist office (small sign to the left of the church) and headed off to Pontone. There are a lot of steps (mostly down) but it is not a difficult route. We then continued to the Torre delle ziro which took about 20 minutes. Lots and lots... More

We arrived at Torre dello Ziro B&B all 8 of us early, Lana welcomed us warmly, toook care of our luggage, gave us directions to a perfect restaurant for lunch. The rooms are most comfortable with amazing views, breakfast delicious with great choice of food all made by Lana and served in the pretty garden. We were able to enjoy... More

Cool place to go, walk takes 30 minutes from Pontone. From Amalfi 1,5 hours. Take a lunch and enjoy the view of the costiera amalfitana.

We always make the effort to walk to the Torre dello Ziro from Pontone after walking up from Amalfi through the Valle del Mulini. The views from the tower down over Amalfi and Atrani are amazing!

We hiked down from Pontone and the view from the Tower was terrific. Also, we only encountered one other person on the entire hike. We took a 10 minute detour and went to the Belvedere look-out point, which we thought was worth it. Bring water, possibly a snack, and some good foot wear.
