A short narrow and seemingly uninteresting alleyway to the left of the church leads you into a lovely small cloister area. It will only tempt you to linger for a few minutes, but it is a haven of calm and historic interest that is well...More
We found this church and quiet cloisters shortly after a wedding had taken place and a violinist was still playing in the cloisters whilst they had photos taken. Venue also houses art exhibitions. It is beautiful and tranquil and worth a step inside.
Superb tranquil oasis, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento town.
The quiet wedding atmosphere was wonderful ... musicians good ... accessibility was great.
Within walking distance to reception venue ... perfect.
Loved it ... a civil ceremony in Nature’s Cathedral.
We stumbled across this place in the evening in the dark and witnessed a newly married couple having their wedding photographs taken. We returned the next day to visit the rooftop gallery above the cloisters.
One of my favourite places in Sorrento. The Cloisters of San Francesco is the remains of an old Monastery. In the heart of Sorrento next to the public gardens is a peaceful place where you can see the influences of the different civilizations. Nowadays concerts...More

The wedding ceremony doesn't take long. Because it's a tourist attraction there are tourists coming while the ceremony is taking place. It is opened air and there are seats put out for your guests. It is like a conveyer belt. Has one wedding ceremony finishes the next one is I only 30 mins to 45 mins away. When I was there as a wedding guest I see two weddings beforehand. When it comes to rain I didn't see any covering for that. Matter of fact it needs covering for the the guests and bridegroom who are sweltering in the heat awaiting the arrival of the bride.
Hope that's of help to you.
