Outstanding panoramic views of the area - City of Naples, the Bay of Naples, Mount Vesuvius, etc. from the tip. Can drive up or take a ride up on the vuniculare. Several restaurants with breathtaking views. Nice place to watch sunset.

Very quiet and nice neighborhood. From the center can be reached by funicular. There are many nice views of Naples and Vesuvius.
Fun half-day outing, finding the funicular near Piazza Dante, then walking to the Castello S. Elmo. Vertiginous views and a 360 degree walk around the parapet. Vesuvius, the bay, the islands and retracing our steps in the Centro Storico from the day before. And all...More

Take funiclare and be there. You will see the Mt. Vesuvio and Port of Napoi, Santa Lucia all at once. The sunset was so beautiful that the walls of San Martino turns into pink.
I only came here for the view of the city. Unfortunately it was cloudy then so my photos here are all dusky, but the beauty of Naples city itself is still outstanding. By the way, the best spot is Sant Elmo Castle.
