If you think Naples is bad then double it for mad traffic in Procida.
Bikes race along and I was brushed by 5 rear view mirrors during the day and then the truck came and I had to dive into a doorway fast.
It is a small island to spend a day. It is easy to arrive from Naples, as it is October there were no tourists so many of the restaurants were closed.
The views are spectacular but there is nothing of cultural interest.
A bit off the beaten path of this small island..but was very nice. We literally walked around the island. Some really nice views. Don't think that I would want to spend more than one night there...with so many other places nearby that we enjoy more
If you are travelling to Naples or Amalfi Coast definitely factor in a day trip here. It is a beautiful island to walk about and explore or just sit and have a long lunch. The beaches are average but can be relaxing to sit and...More
If your going to the Amalfi coast then this island is a must ,it’s my favorite of all the islands. It’s not as busy or high end as Capri but so pretty and friendly. The sea is lovely however the beach is very hot as...More
Excellent little island to relax, take a coffee, do some amazing pictures, go to the beach (ok - been to better beaches but still nice enough). Little houses in different colours- magnificent photos.. All walkable, but also used the small buses to go back to...More
A picturesque island, probably less popular than Ischia and Capri, but totally worth going. Procida is easilly accessible by ferries from Naples. It's a perfect place for long, slow walks in its streets and great seafood served in many local restaurants.
What a charming place this is, we got the ferry over from naples and sat enjoying the sun on the top deck, this was all part of the experience after we had been using the hydrofoil the last two days to visit capri and sorrento,...More
The smallest island in the bay of Naples with picturesque narrow streets and colorful houses. There is no glamour of Capri but it's perfect for those who wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of Naples.
A beautiful little island just a short ferry ride from Monti di Procida. You can explore the island on foot. Scenery of the port and marina are spectacular and colourful. A must try is a lemon salad made from fresh Amalfi lemons.
