I visit LOTS of castles and fortifications all over the world. And St, Elmo is one of the most memorable. It sits on one of the highest points in Naples and the 360 degree view alone is worth the entry fee and the climb. The fortification itself is awe inspiring and if there are military historians in your group, the... More

The wall of the castle gives wonderful views over the city and the bay! We were there at sunset and it was gorgeous. The art exhibit inside was nice, but the highlight is the castle itself. Take time to walk the path surroundng the outside of the castle, especially as darkness descends. The rock formations take on amazing shadows and... More

a short visit is not bad because it has a magnificent and panaromic view of Napoli but you can have it easily from outside of Castle.

We visited here at the end the day, and we got in free as it was included in the Naples Art Card that we had. Its a very impressive castle - but you don't get to see much of the building itself. The view from the top is truly amazing - we were there are dusk fell and it was... More

The trek up the funicular and then to the castle is well worth it for the views of Naples and over to Vesuvius. The art museum is worth a browse but otherwise theres little more to seE

This castle/military museum has free admission for the last hour of each day. Just get a ticket first. The views are unsurpassed when walking the ramparts. Worth the hassle of getting here.

Absolutely the finest views to be found in all of Naples. I honestly did not go in the museum but instead walked the walls of the Castel. Easy to walk around the entire Castel and take photos of the entire town. Breathtaking!

Best views of Naples and the Bay, easy to get to by funicular and bus. Just a wonderful place to wander round and take in the 360 degree views.
