This tour was outstanding! Paulo, our tour guide, was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable he made us feel as if we were Roman citizens visiting Pompeii as tourists prior to the eruption. The continuation of the tour to Positano added a welcome chance to relax and enjoy the great views and cuisine of the Amalfi coast. The 13 hour tour was... More

I took your Pompeii & Amalfi Coast Day Trip From Rome, November 24, 2016. I had such a great time! The guides were in the designated pick up spot at 7am. They quickly checked everyone in and we boarded our assigned busses and we were on our way by 7:10. From the beginning, my guide Georgia was warm and friendly.... More

I was recently in Europe for three weeks and took many tours. Without a doubt WALKS OF ITALY were the best tours I took. Most importantly -- although I love meeting people who are native to the land -- I do need to be able to understand the tour guide. WALKS' tour guides were native but spoke English SO BEAUTIFULLY... Paolo was fantastic. He took the group to the areas less visited by tourists and gave us a detailed tour of Pompeii. He was very professional and yet very funny! He took us to the scenic spots unknown to the General public on the way to Positano and even volunteered to be everybody's photographer! I highly recommend Walks of Italy... More

Overall, this tour was a great way to see Pompeii. It lasted roughly 2.5-3 hours, and we only had a group of approximately 14 people so it wasn't an overwhelmingly large group - we felt like our tour guide at least could recognize us as part of the group and it was small enough so as to allow questions from... We met with the guide and the group right outside the Circumvesuviana station at the Pompei Scavi stop. I forgot her name, but she was very nice and lovely! We waited for our transportation and then started our way to the top. Once at the farthest point we could drive in, we met our other guide Rafaelo to walk us... More

The guide was knowledgable and led the group well. She pointed out all the details and there was no question that she could not answer. Our tour was about two and a half hours long, which meant that we could only see a small section of the total huge site. I would have liked the guide to give us a... More

I joined this tour on a pouring day, led by Francesca. And I still love it even though we have our shoes and socks all wet. Pompeii is huge and you might be of no clues on what you are looking at and the stories behind each piece unless you have a tour guide. I was amazed by how historians... More

My husband and I just returned to Canada after 10 days in the Sorrento/ Amalfi region (mid-September 2016). I had researched tours for Pompeii and finally decided on Walks of Italy. We were not let down. Our tour guide was fluent in English as well as fluent in her vast knowledge of Pompeii, the history, and all of the aspects... More
