A Holy place to visit at least once in a lifetime.

A unique Sanctuary with a chapel built in a crevice in the rock formed by the earthquake at the time of death on the cross of Jesus Christ.

It's unique and special! Go at 10 am so you can find parking. It's also a great time because its quiet and fewer people. Visit the church, the split mountain and take a walk in the wooded area. All is spiritual!

The first place to visit when you arrive in Gaeta is where you can feel the power of nature and have a look at a wonderful landscape!

Very worthwhile to climb up the hill and be awed by this unique site which indeed deserves a mention among the wonders of the world - especially considering the myth it is surrounded with

This place is located on the south side of Mount Orlando; it was September and so there was no problem parking where the little belvedere offers a stunning view of Serapo Beach. From there it's a short walk to the Sanctuary of Montagna Spaccata. There between sky and sea and the forest, there are three splits/cracks in the rock which... More

Nature has the power to shape our surroundings and sometimes they come out to be interesting and beautiful and need to be seen by us. And sometimes by chance they have history too. This story about the Turkish man and his hand is very intriguing. Recommended!

We had promised ourselves that we would take a look at Montagna Spaccata, the split mountain, but waited until we had a day which promised to be not too hot. We started of at the Serapo beach entrance to the park and walked slowly up the road following the signs for the monastery della Trinita and just beyond is the... More

A beautiful coastal walk around the headland of Gaeta with stunning views of the Mediterranean but make sure you take your walking shoes a little steep for some.

We visited without a guide, so we missed the lore. Amazed by the beauty and history here. A must see if you visit the area. Not if you have mobility issues, though. Uneven ground and narrow stairs. Great place for pictures.

What an amazing place to see. We came in the afternoon and walked through the Montagna. It was absolutely beautiful. We also got to be there for the sunset.. Totally amazing and a must to see.
