We did two tours with Avventure Bellissime in Rome. We did an all day private tour of the Vatican, St. Peter's Basilica, Sistine Chapel and City Center. Sergio was our tour guide for this tour. He is simply amazing. Although there was a bit of difficulty understanding everything due to the accent which was magnified with having to wear masks, we understood most of it and it was so much better to hear about what we were looking at versus just doing the tour on our own. Sergio was so very patient throughout. He was also very well prepared. One of our family members did not have an appropriate mask to enter the sites but Sergio had brought extra. He also had books and maps to help us see what we were looking at and to get a better understanding of the history. He was like the energizer bunny walking for 9 hours while carrying his heavy bag with all his literature. His knowledge was truly incredible (his knowledge would take me three life-times to learn) and we had lots of time to talk on a personal level and he was such a wonderful person. The tour with Sergio is highly recommended. We will definitely request him on any future tours to Rome.

The second day was a much shorter food tour starting with a market tour in the historic city center, followed by a tour and food tastings in the Jewish Ghetto. Our tour guide was Claudia. She was so awesome and full of energy. Her energy, enthusiasm, and giddy personality was almost contagious. We had a great combination of history of the area together with a tasting of some very traditional foods which was delizioso. She was so fun to be with and it made the tour all the more enjoyable. She thoroughly enjoys what she does and it shows in her tour. We also strongly recommend a tour with Claudia.

We had an amazing private one day tour or Rome with Luca. He was in contact with us prior to our tour day to verify time and meeting place. When we arrived, Luca was waiting there with a sign with our name on it. We skipped the line at every attraction and were always inside with very little wait. He took us to a couple of photo worthy spots that only he knew about for some great photos and also treated us to a great gelato spot. Luca’s knowledge of Rome and its history was so impressive, we knew we were with an expert. He made us feel like we were the only 2 visitors in the city that day with so much personal attention and information. We highly recommend doing a tour with Luca, it was worth every penny/euro.

Booked a day trip from the St Regis Hotel in Rome to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello for a family group of 8. Excellent trip with Anna, our driver, and had stops along the way for picturesque scenery and photo ops. Mercedes van was adequate and Anna was great! Left promptly at 7:30am and returned at 7pm. Scenery was amazing!!

HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS TOUR

My husband and I had no expectation of this tour and saved it for our last night in Italy and I am sure glad that we did! It was the best tour to end a wonderful vacation in Rome! Our driver Khan was a great driver, very knowledgeable and informative about the areas he was driving through. Amalfi Coast and Positano were absolutely beautiful and I would love to go back there. We had about and hour or 2 to tour around Positano which was a great amount of time. The views were amazing. Pompeii was our last stop and that was one of the best tours I experienced in Italy. Gaetano was our tour guide and he was just amazing. He really brought the town alive and was very animated and really knew so much information. He was able to keep the attention of the group, he took pictures and was just great. He was one of the best tour guides that we had on our entire trip.

The ONLY downside of this tour which didn't bother me personally was the driving. It was about a 3-4hr drive from Rome and also the road driving on the Almafi coast was very windy and could potentially make you feel car sick, BUT like I said this aspect didn't bother me or my husband.

We took a couple of day trips outside of Rome during our 8 night break the first a full day 13hour semi private tour to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast which we booked via Viator our driver Mido was excellent, as a driver, tour guide and amazing photographer.

Pick up is early 6.45 - 7.15 am. The initial drive out gives you time to wake up before you enter the Amalfi Coast and start to see the beautiful views. We stopped at several points to take photos and then went down into the town of Positano where we had around 1.5 hours free time. We then left Positano to have lunch the setting and food quality was good. Then onto Pompeii where we met a local guide. Although the local guide was from Pompeii so very knowledgeable I would have preferred less information and more time to explore as it’s unlikely I will be able to visit again but will be able to read about Pompeii.
Our van had 6 seats in the back and 2.5 seats in the front. Although Mido did everything he could to make the front seat as comfortable as possible and you do get the best view it’s a long drive and the middle front seat really has no leg space. I think for a trip this long really 7 is the maximum they should take in this van.
However I would recommended this trip if you want to visit Pompeii and get a feel for the Amalfi Coast just make sure you jump in the back.

We had a driver, but he did not explain anything on the long ride to Pompeii. The van was a bit crowded. 2 passengers had to sit in the front with the driver, and there was no leg room. One of the other guests had a cane, and it was difficult for him to sit. We all took turns sitting in the front, due to the cramped quarters. We had to wait for another van, with 8 other people, to join us at each stop.
We did have a 2 hour guided tour in Pompeii, which was the highlight of the day. The guide was very knowledgeable, but he was slightly rude and rushed. The lunch was nice, with a lovely view of the coast. Wine by the glass was available, but it was an extra cost. The last stop was Positano, which was very touristy and crowded. It was very beautiful, and we had enough time to walk to the water and do minimal shopping, but not much else.
Based upon other tours that we took during the trip, I felt that this tour was over priced, but it could be due to the high demand for trips to Pompeii.

We were picked up by Roberto just after 7am and, after a quick stop at another hotel to grab our other riders, we were off. Long drive, with a pit stop about an hour in, Roberto was telling us about some highlights along the way, keeping us entertained. First stop was Positano, where we had an hour and a half to wander. Too much to do, but it was so beautiful I could've stayed all day! He pulled off several times to allow us to take pictures, or take pictures of us. Amazing lunch, even with simple pasta, it was so delicious! Off to Pompeii for a 2 hour guided tour with Hector. Older gentleman, but with more energy than my 9 and 12 year old. He showed us the highlights and gave us some insight into life before and during the eruption, we really enjoyed it! Tough walking on my husband and mother though, they both use canes. We threw off the schedule with a bit of gift shopping, but Roberto got us back on track. We were lucky to be on our trip with an amazing couple from Dubai, so we not only had an amazing day, but we made some new friends too!

Basically, Avventure Belissima charged my credit card $250 and walked away ... We got a confirmation email, but no vouchers, no directions,, no place to meet, nothing. When we called we got either an answering machine or an error message. The website says to click on something to get the meeting place but when you click on it it says that they will communicate meeting place in an email, which we never got. No office hours on a Saturday, no emergency phone number, etc etc ... So we basically went to the Colosseum entrance and waited, to no avail. We asked a lot of people and they had never heard of this group ... Wow.
Anyway, after all that we called to get a refund and basically got yelled at by two different people who said it was our fault and that we were fullof ourselves to want a refund.
PLEASE DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!!
On the other hand, we had a completely different experience with Presto Tours. Got everything we needed in a timely manner, confirmation emails, a fantastic tour, and then followups afterward.
Adventure Bellissima, to this customer, appears to be a corrupt company that doesn't care about your enjoyment; they just want your money. All I can tell you is that we were outmabout $300 and got nothing but an email confirmation with no info on it ... No tickets, no tour, nothing but verbal abuse. I can get that for free! :)

Dear Client , I'm sorry you did not manage to experience our tour but it is responsibility of the client to contact the agency if he/she does not receive the voucher on time for the tour - Our system delivers the voucher via e.mail , upon confirmation of the service and soon after having charged the credit card - If we do not receive any e.mail error message we assume the voucher has been delivered successfully - Also our office is open daily ( including week ends ) starting from 9.00am until 6.00 pm - we have four telephone lines and therefore it is very easy to get in touch with our office at the numbers displayed in our web site - The tour in question occured on a saturday and started at 09.00 when our office was open . We are ready to help client , if he /she contacts us by telephone or e.mail BEFORE the day of the tour to inform us he /she has not received the voucher - We can fax it to the hotel or give details over the phone , text meeting point on the cellular phone etc etc . But if we receive the information about not having received the voucher and therefore having done a no show on the date of the tour AFTER 3 days from the day of the tour , what can we assume ? We operate small group tours and we do all our best to provide clients a wonderful time with our excellent guides - we have a very soft cancellation policy considering the type of service we deliver but for sure we can not reimburse clients that were a NO SHOW on the date of the tour . Yours Sincerely , Monica

We booked this trip months before arriving in Italy and the week before the trip we got an email saying the company will cancel the tour as we were the only 2 people signed up for it.
We cancelled our tour and instead got a tour with Welcome Italy called 'Small-Group Tour: Amalfi Coast and Pompeii Day Trip from Rome' and we were the only 2 people on that tour but Welcome Italy didnt cancel and that tour was GREAT! be careful with this company as they may cancel if the group is too small so go with Welcome Italy's tour instead!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this touring company and our specific tour guide, Luca. Now I will admit, my husband and I were a tad scared as we were nervous we had been duped at first. Within 5 minutes of the meeting time we had still not found our tour guide. Luckily, we found him without a moment to lose and spent the next 9 hours being guided by a true orator through the colosseum, roman forum, palatine hill, Sistine chapel and Vatican museums. Luca was personable, funny, knowledgeable and simply fantastic. He cared for our questions and was sure to answer them all, even hours later if best. We were guided towards a quaint cafeteria for lunch between tours and were not disappointed in the least. During the Vatican tour which was to include St-Peter's basilica, we were told the pope had decided to close the basilica to greet visitors to the Vatican. At first a disappointment, Luca made sure to compensate for the change of plans as best he could by spending far beyond the 4 hours of the allotted tour with us, and taking us in additional areas for an alternative experience. We were not in any way disappointed and couldn't have been happier with the guide we received. I recommend this company and specifically this guide for anyone who wants not only a tour but a memory of a lifetime of Rome's history.

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
