My mom and I traveled to Rome for the first time On Christmas day. We met up with Rudy himself, outside of our hotel, the first thing in the morning on December 26th. He kindly greeted us and helped us into his tour van. His van was spacious, clean, and very comfortable.
During our all-day tour, we visited the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, Vatican, catacombs, and so much more! What we enjoyed the most about Rudy's tour was that he would give us a short history of each place, as well as some facts that you usually wouldn't find in textbooks. He would then give us our own time to leisurely walk around and take photos at our own pace. Once my mom and I were done at each place, we knew exactly where to find Rudy and the tour van. With Rudy's experience, he knew exactly which places would be ideal for visiting at certain times (early or later in the day) to avoid crowds.
For lunch, Rudy took us to a local restaurant that had the most amazing ravioli. It was handmade and very delicious. He allowed us to relax and enjoy our lunch while he waited outside for us to finish.
After lunch, we continued on with the tour.
As he drove us around to the different tour locations, he would continue to talk about the city, pointed out some interesting things about the city like the ruins, the people, and other historic sites, and continued to provide us with really great historical information about Rome.
If you are planning to take a trip to Rome, I HIGHLY recommend booking a tour with Rudy. You will really enjoy the educational experience in comfort.
