I signed my brother up to run with me and he wasn't happy to be waking up so early. But once we got there, both of us were delighted to meet Thomas and proceeded to have a great time! The pace was very comfortable; I felt like I got a workout, but at no point was I struggling to keep... More

Prior to this trip I've been to Italy a few times so I can confidently say that this is THE way to SEE ITALY !! We visited 4 cities this time and every one of their tour guides were absolutely knowledgable, courteous, and professional. My wife and I learned so much about the history, culture, art, cuisine, beliefs, and lifestyles... More

My brother and i took our Mother to Italy so we could meet family. A must do on our list was to visit ROME. After doing some diligent research online. We determined the best thing to do was take a tour. We picked THE VATICAN Tour provided by LivItaly. Which was the best dicsion on our entire trip. Our Guide... More

My wife and I splurged for a private tour, including underneath the Colosseum. Our guide, Thomas, was very friendly and personable, and he turned out to be remarkably knowledgeable. It was really like having an archaeology professor take you through the sites. He had a very clear plan to show us the most interesting aspects of the sites, but he... More

Our colosseum & Ancient Rome tour with virtual reality was amazing. We were all amazed about the details Thomas told us during the tour. Time flew by... the VR glass helped us understand how incredible the colosseum, palatino and foro were in the past. Highly recommend! Thanks Thomas ;)

My partner and I took the Underground Colosseum Tour yesterday with Vincenzo, one word to describe his tour - spectacular! Vincenzo was friendly, charismatic and truly captivating in his knowledge. His story telling brought Ancient Rome to life for us. We really enjoyed having a small group of 6, it made it personal and truly unforgettable on our first trip... More

Had an amazing and very informative tour of Vatican with LivItaly! We met at a cafe near Vatican and they even allowed us 10-15 min to grab a coffee since the tour was scheduled for 7:30am ! Our original guide was late by 15-20 (not his fault it seems) but we were grouped with another guide for that duration. We... More

We had a tour with Luca, and he really brought the colosseum to life for us and for our children (11 and 14 years old). This is one of the few colosseum tours that does the underground too--it was really special--one of our favorite Rome experiences!

We took two separate tours. The first was the early entrance Vatican tour. The second was the Colliseum and Forum tour. Both guides were very kn0wledgeable and easy to deal with. Having priority entrance was nice, given the crowds. The ability to ben the Sistene Chapel before the mad rush was nice, and having specially important items pointed out with... More

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour - it was very easy to book and was worth every penny! We had a young, enthusiastic Italian guide who spoke impeccable English and whose enthusiasm for Roman history clearly shone through. No questions were too much for him and he explained all that we saw with detail and insight. We were a... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
