This is my second review on this issue, as I've sent "Walks" another email in regards to their "refund policy".This really deserves to be in quotations, as many can attest they don't really have a "refund policy", only the faint promise of one, that will eventually end in a gift voucher. My query is will they continue to honor this voucher past the initial offer? Currently, and into the foreseeable future, the possibilities to book and travel for a vacation in Italy is questionable at best, with the ongoing COVID restrictions. Walks offered vouchers to 150% for the booked tours cost, or something to that tune. Though I'll bet my $400+ CAD tour that all the tours will have increased by at least 150% to cover costs associated with loss of business, and requisite costs for COVID related restrictions and cleaning measures, for your "safety". I'm still requesting that WALKS do the right thing and refund, in full, everyone's booked tours monies, as promised, and as per they're own refund policy...I'm not holding my breath. It will likely require a class action lawsuit against these turkeys. Of all our bookings to Italy, everyone of them EXCEPT Walks, honored and refunded all monies.

Booked tours in Italy and cancelled months in advance. I should have been entitled to a refund but they kept my $$ and issued a credit voucher. Flash forward to today when I was trying to book a tour through their website just to be advised I cannot use my credit. They stated the credit cannot be used on “partner” tours. There is no such restriction on the credit voucher (which again is based on my $$ that they kept). The voucher states “This credit can be used for any future service across our Walks destinations and is valid for 3 years.” Avoid this company! Very poor service! They keep your money and then don’t allow you to use the credit on TOURS THEY OFFER THROUGH THEIR WEBSITE/COMPANY.

After the review originally posted below, Walks responded asking me to contact them to resolve this issue. I emailed them, and they responded that they would be providing me a refund by August 3, 2020. I never received a refund, and on August 6, after I inquired about the promised refund, Walks wrote back and told me that they were not going to honor their promise to refund what I had paid for and cancelled in more than a timely fashion. They not only don't honor their policy, they lie and have no problem not even honoring their promises. The following was my original post: Walks LLC does not honor it cancellation policy. The cancellation policy states: "Walks LLC offers a full refund on cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to tour commencement." I made my initial tour reservations for a party of eight people traveling together on credit card on February 11, 2020, for a "Crypts, Bones & Catacombs" tour scheduled for September 11, 2020. I cancelled this tour because the entire trip for all eight people was cancelled. The tour was cancelled on May 7, 2020. I went through the process of completing the Walks LLC tour cancellation form and waited. After a couple of inquiries later, they finally responded and gave me a choice of refund or an offer for a credit worth double the original $440. cost for the tour. I chose the refund and they allegedly escalated my choice to their management team. Their final response was that they would not refund the cost and that their offer of a $880 credit good for three years was my final offer. Their cancellation policy states that the cost will be refunded and I certainly made the cancellation far ahead of the 72 hour requirement. This company has done this to many travelers and are no longer trustworthy. Be very careful if you use this company as you may not get the cost of your tour back if you have to cancel. You will also find comments about this activity by Walks LLC on their Facebook page and Rick Steves' travel forum.

Booked our "Rome in a Day" tour on Aug 31 2020, for a full day tour taking place on Sat Sept 5th 2020. We arose bright and early, arrived at the meeting point 15 min prior to start of the tour. We found no on else there. We assumed because of COVID the group would most likely be small. But, after roaming around for 30 min, asking strangers if they too, were there for a tour, and finding none, we attempted to call the tour operator at the number provided in the confirmation email. No answer. We tried another number, no answer. Finally we scrolled through our emails and found in our junk box an email from the tour guide received at 4:00 AM that morning, cancelling the tour and offering us a voucher for another tour at a later date, instead of a full refund. So an entire day was wasted, because we could not obtain tickets for any of the things we planned on doing, last minute. Surely the tour operator knew the night before that the group participant numbers were low and could have notified us, instead of waiting until 4 am. We were only in Rome for the weekend, so a voucher was not acceptable. We had to have our credit card company force a full refund. We will think twice about using "Walks of..." for any of our next tours.

Ilaria was our tour guide of the Colosseum and Palatine Hill. Despite the rainy weather, our family had a tremendous time. The access and information was a special experience. Particularly our tour guide's knowledge of the Palatine Hill that brought the ruins to life for us and our children. We would absolutely recommend our tour to others.
