My husband and I were looking forward to our vacation in Rome, but didn't want to spend all week doing the typical sightseeing. We saw all of the amazing reviews for My Food Tour and were very excited. It was very easy to book on the website before our trip. Irene then met us on a Sunday morning and it... More

I have italian roots and thought I know Italian food. Lesson 1: there is no Italian food! This tour showed me a very different side of Rome, things I'd never find by myself. Yes, you see lovely cafes, stores, markets walking by yourself, too, but this tour explains what you are seeing and gives you background information (history of food,... More

Absolutely loved it. Hande is a very interesting person and knows to cater to all kinds of different people. we were in a mixed group with 2 other couples and she managed to wow everyone. her love, passion and knowledge of food in general and in Rome is limitless. Some things we ate & heard were eye-opening about what we... More

I recently moved to Rome for one year and have done 3 things at the very beginning as preparation and to get the most out my time. This was the second thing I did. Every guidebook talks about the amous markets & stores (like Campo dei Fiori) but I knew I had to find better places. More Roman in its... More

After this tour we said to each other that this was the best decision we made. Of course you go to Rome for other reasons, but we are very food interested and this tour was extremely valuable. We got to see little specialty shops (some were older than 100 years old!), tasted some of the best delicatessen of our lives,... More

Me and tree other friends were in Rome first week of January. We had only three days but wanted to learn more about Rome's food scene. From it's description, this tour sounded the best to not end up in only the touristic parts. At the end, all of us were very happy. We visited a real roman food market. A... More

If you are interested in Italian cuisine then this is the tour for you! It gets you off the beaten path and submerges you into the local markets where all the hidden gems are located. I got to sample various fresh fruit, cheese, and gelato. This tour really opens you up to what Romans truly eat. Having a personal interest... More

I have been traveling around Italy by myself for the past few weeks, and within these weeks, I have had many experiences stand out in my mind. One being Hande's My Rome Food Tour. I participated in one of her My Italians wine tastings a few days before, and immediately after that tasting I booked the food tour. I enjoyed... More

We visited Rome for a week earlier this summer and we had booked a wine tasting with Vino Roma for one of our evenings. We enjoyed the tasting and information about wine and Italy so much that we decided we had to go back. We had come across Vino Roma's My Rome Food Tour in pre-departure web searches and decided... Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
