The most fun way to see all of the hills of Rome!! Giorgio and Daniele grove my husband, Michael, and I all over Rome for 6 hours! They were so knowledgeable about everything and we had so much fun with them. They even took us to their favorite tiny bar for a beer! I would recommend this to everyone who... More

There were four of us and we had a day's visit to Rome so a Vespa tour seemed like an efficient and enjoyable way to see Rome as the locals do. We were told that the tour was free due to a change in legislation but that Nerone are trying to sustain it by offering it for free. Even if... More

We booked two vespa tours in august 20 and 25 with Sergio. On august 19 (one day before) he called and canceled the tour talking about (incomprehensible for us) “new traffic rules..”. He however promised that we would have made the second tour as scheduled. The morning of the second tour (just half an hour before) he called to cancel... More

Good morning Bartholomew, I am sorry but after searching our mail archive, our databases and with our major booking platforms we don't have records of your booking for neither dates you have mentioned (August 20th and 25th.) Therefor we suspect that your review is fake. Nevertheless we owe you an answer, but most of all we owe an answer to... More

The Vesper trip was suggested by a friend who had done it on her visit to Rome. I am so glad I did it - it was a beautiful evening & the sights look so different at night. I had a great driver & I would highly recommend it

Go for it. You get an true Roman's eye view of the city riding on the back of a Vespa through the traffic, noise, and some exhaust fumes. The Vespa offers a unique vantage points on buildings and vistas that don't jump out at you in the same way as when you are in a car or on foot. While... More

Nerone Tours custom made a 6 day all inclusive tour of southern Italy for us. We were reluctant to do a private tour but this was the only way to see what we wanted in the days we had between other tours on our 8 week trip of Europe. From review I had read there is no easy and time... More

This was the highlight of our three week trip to Italy. We definitely recommend this tour. It is just so sad that this service has been restricted by the city of Rome. It is definitely worth a compensation...... The drivers for our trip were friendly, informative, timely and safe. This tour was a great way to be introduced to the... More

Save the Vespa tours!! This is one of the most fun things we did while in Rome. And even though it was the free tour which was only 2 hours compared to the normal 4-hour tour, I think we saw more in that time than we would in a day by foot. And we saw places we would not have... More

I had been looking forward to a Vespa tour of Rome and had planned to book one in early August for my trip at the end of August. When I started looking around it did appear that due to new regulations in Rome - no more guided Vespa tours were being offered (where you had a driver - you can... More

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
