Neighbourhood: Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.

- BradHong Kong, China177,517 contributionsSeems to be reopening soon. You can walk through the GalleriaThis is a indoor shopping arcade at Piazza Colonna. It was originally build in the 1920s by architect Giorgio Calza Bini and displays nice architectural features, columns and archways on both sides as well as a very nice patterned glass ceiling which provides quite a bit of natural light into the arcade. The property has around 20 shops and was named in 2003 after actor Aberto Sordi who passed away earlier in the year. At the time we passed through recently, the Alberto Sordi Gallery seemed to be under restorations. All shops are covered over and it seems some general works are nearing completion. Signs indicate they will reopen soon. You can still walk through the Gallery and enjoy the building architecture even if the shops are not yet ready.Visited March 2024Travelled soloWritten March 3, 2024

It has lovely Art Nouveau stained glass ceilings and is well worth a look if you are in the area. It has some clothing shops, a pastry shop, and a large toy store. As of May 2024, there are still some restaurants that have not opened yet but are expected to open soon.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten May 10, 2024
- love2travelny3New York City, New York74 contributionsLovely with great anchor stores, but small and not air conditioned. Have to pay to use bathrooms. It’s a lovely historic place, but it’s actually more of a market space than a “mall”. It’s one floor with two halls that are open air. If you’re traveling in summer months like us, don’t expect any respite from the heat. The anchor stores are great — Mango and Uniqlo. There is also a London toy store that was a hit with the kids. One big drawback is the mall bathroom which requires a €1 coin payment. We had to dig up €4 for all of us to use the bathroom. One would think the anchor stores who were filled with shoppers could cover this cost. It’s pretty, and the two anchor stores are great. But if you’re looking for a “mall” and particularly an indoor escape from the heat, I’d go somewhere else.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten July 9, 2024

Designed and built in the 1920s, Galleria Alberto Sordi is described as an elegant shopping centre but it’s a little sad at the moment.
Very few shops seemed to be open and it was rather dark and gloomy inside. Nothing caught our eye and nothing made us stop and linger. You’d be very disappointed if you headed here for shopping.
The Galleria is noted for its beautiful Art Nouveau decor with mosaic floor, wooden panelling and high stained glass ceilings. This was interesting but only warranted a quick look as we walked through.
Of more interest was the facade, which has imposing rows of columns that give it a grand palazzo look.
If you exit onto the Via Del Corso, you will find yourself opposite the Piazza Colonna and the 2000 year old, 40 metre tall victory column of Marcus Aurelius. This is worth crossing the busy road and having a closer look at.

It is located in Piazza Colonna. It is a shopping gallery with approximately 20 stores. Its inauguration was in 1922. We passed by by chance and entered as it began to rain heavily and we spent a while touring the place. The ceilings stand out and are beautiful.

Il centro commerciale è tutto bellissimo!
What a gorgeous, upscale, elegant shopping mall right in the heart of Rome opposite Piazza Colonna! The architectural design is absolutely magnificent, the shops and high fashion boutiques are exquisite and utterly elegant, specialty shops (leather goods, maps, books, etc) are wonderfully unique... Several lovely cafes and chocolate shops invite you to take a break from busy sightseeing relax with a nice cup of espresso and pastries.
This shopping mall named after one of the most beloved Italian actors, Alberto Sordi, has become a new treasure of Rome which rightfully deserves his famous name.

The gallery is superb with stained glass ceiling lights. Located very close to Zara in the middle of shopping street. The toy shop is great, it's worth a ride. Forced to buy something.

Very beautiful recently renovated gallery with a beautiful height, very beautiful architecture and beautiful stained glass windows. It feels like we're in another era.
If you are passing through the adjacent streets, why not take a little detour. The visit is very quick.

This place is for both architecture lovers and shoppers, and we had both in our group. The Art Nouveau style of this building is beautiful just to look at, but full of shops to interest your Italian loving needs. We recommend just to walk inside and see for yourself why everyone is attracted to it.

I was looking for a shopping center in Rome.....unfortunately, I couldn't find one....I mean, a big shopping center, outlet, good offers, prices....
Here, in the Gallery, you can find very expensive products, European Firms, small place, very nice building with History, but not a mall o shopping center, I was very disappointed....
All the city is full of Stores, but firms like Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Fendi, Givenchy..... not in everybody's budget....

Beautiful old building turned into a small mall, with mosaic floors and stained glass ceilings.
Wifi here is very, very reliable and free! Lots of shops to choose from as well as free toilets. Be careful as they may be dirty or backed up during peak hours.
