Giovanni led an amazing tour of the Colosseum and the Forum for me and my group of university students. My students were challenging (a little "tired" from the night before), but Giovanni remained positive and fun, and was able to keep their interest throughout the tour. He gave a really thorough history of Ancient Rome without it being too overwhelming.... More

Our family had the pleasure of visiting Rome for the first time just before Christmas 2016 and we had heard great things about Giovanni and Tours to Rome so we decided to give it a try. I can say that he easily exceeded our expectations during the parts of the two days we spent touring major points of interest with... More

Giovanni, our tour guide, is very knowledgeable in the History of Rome and Italy. Our tour of the Colosseum was amazing. The details he incorporated into his talk made it incredibly interesting and entertaining. It was more than a 'tour', it was like stepping back into time and seeing the Colosseum as it was. Very engaging, and I would highly... More

We had a interesting and lively tour with Giovanni...He is well-informed and conversant, professional and also entertaining...We learned a lot! Giovanni even had dining recommendations for other places that we were visiting while we were in Italy. He was highly recommended by a family member and he was our favorite guide on our trip.

Maurizio organised a great tour for us, starting in San Clemente, surely the most interesting church in Rome, continuing with the Colosseum which looks wonderful after its face-lift and finishing with the imperial forums and Trajan's column. He explained everything very clearly and it was a very interesting visit.

Roads to Rome is the best tour in Rome! Giovanni, the tour guide, is extremely personable and informative! The detail he gave my boyfriend and I, made the touring so much more exciting! He gave us knowledge that is not written in most history books as he took us behind the scenes to each of our destinations. Giovanni made our... More

We had two days of tours with Roads to Rome, the first with Alessandra and the second with Luciana. Both tour guides were wonderful. We had both Spanish speaking and English speaking family on the tours and both were bilingual, switching back and forth easily to explain different concepts. Luciana did an excellent job reading the group and figuring out... More

The trip to the Bracciano castle was absolutely perfect. We met our tour guide Claudia and she spoke perfect English which was a big plus, and she knew a lot about the history of Rome, the castle, and the area we went to. The highlight of this tour for me was the fantastic lunch at a wonderful lakeside restaurant. The... More
