Our first tour was with Giula and we asked for the kid friendly tour as we have three children, ages 7, 13 and 15. Giula thoroughly engaged our children and we all learned quite a bit about the Coliseum and Forum. Highly recommend. Our 2nd tour was with Dino for underground Rome. Again, great experience. Everything was taken care of... More

We reached out to Rome Private Guides to get a Russian-language guide to take us to on a private tour of Pompeii and Positano. Everything on the trip went very well. The driver picked us up where we were staying, on time. He then drove us to Pompeii where we met, Ivan, our Russian-speaking guide. Ivan took us all around... More

We started a recent Transatlantic cruise with three days in Rome. Having hired Rome Private Guides for tours throughout (which were spectacular!) we asked if they also offered tours in Florence and Pisa. Luckily they did! We found out prior to embarkation that the port we were to call on was changed from Livorno to La Spezia due to high... More

We've been to Rome over 5 times in the past five years and love the city. On our most recent trip, we took my husband's sister with us and decided that we're experience Rome with guides...a great decision given the crowds. But more importantly, our decision to select Rome Private Guides exceeded our greatest expectations with ever single guide...every step... More

What a wonderful tour agency to work with! If Trip Advisor offered a 10-star rating, I would give it. I was on a short business trip to Rome and brought my 18-year old granddaughter with me. I booked 5 tours over the 4 days we were in the city. All the arrangements were made via email through Ellie and Ivana.... More

Matteo was absolutely brilliant, he kept us entertained and interested for the entire tour. He brought the gladiators alive with all his stories. Recommend RPG to everyone.

We booked Matteo for a Colosseum, Forum and Palatine Hill tour for our family of 4 (2 teenagers). It was such a perfect afternoon. Matteo was very knowledgeable and an incredibly nice person. He mixed history of Rome, of monuments but also many anecdotes that made the visit so lively and the kids entertained. His French was perfect. We booked... More

We booked a couple of days in advance and the staff were helpful and answered a number of questions very promptly. On the day we met our guide outside the Vatican museum. Fabio was excellent - his detailed knowledge and genuine love of history and archaeology made it a very interesting experience for me and my husband and 3 sons... More

We took the three-hour Colosseum + Forum tour, and it was the best tour of our entire trip. This was thanks purely to Dino, our wonderful guide, who not only held the attention of the four kids in our group, but was a mesmerizing storyteller. His tales about the Colosseum's history, and his use of an iPad and books to... More

Staying in Flaminio

Neighbourhood Profile
Flaminio
The Flaminio area has been making a name for itself as a hub for contemporary architecture and art. Over the past decade, Flamino’s grassy knolls have seen the rise of cultural centres - amazing feats of architecture like the beautiful Ponte della Musica, the wavy contemporary art MAXXI Museum, and the futuristic Parco della Musica, a music complex where international names perform. Flaminio also has traces of the 1960 Olympic Games with Palazzetto dello Sport and Villagio Olimpico, the athlete’s Olympic village turned residential housing. If culture means a ball and a foot, keep your eye on the prize: Rome’s famed Stadio Olimpico football stadium is just a short walk across a bridge.
