I was here in late May and thoroughly enjoyed my visit! The gardens were much larger than I expected and so peaceful and relaxing. My favorite section was the Japanese garden with its lovely pond and stream. When I stepped onto the bridge over the...More

Very nice to get shade and quiet. However, this is not a well maintained botanic garden. €8 per person is prob too expensive, but not much choice in Rome. We are spoilt in UK where most public parks are better than this.

It is a very well thought out and well maintained (whatever others might say) botanic garden, beautifully landscaped on a hill slope. It's not huge but when inside it seems larger than it actually is because it contains many different "sections" crammed with different trees...More

In England we are spoiled for beautiful parks and gardens, so my expectations were low; however, I enjoyed a couple of hours in this peaceful uncrowded oasis. Gravel paths gently wind up the side of Gianicolo hill, giving lovely (if distant) views of the city....More

In between the thunder showers our knowledgeable guide showed us the extensive garden areas and glasshouses, telling us about the history and botanical highlights of the gardens. In early May the trees were in light leaf and rhododendrons were coming into flower. Our guide took...More

What a wonderful surprise!! The gardens are kept very clean and it is well organized. There is so much to see so make sure you give yourself enough time to browse throughout the entire garden! We would definitely recommend it and go back again!

Amazing bamboo forest was magical, the well maintained medicinal garden was lovely, and the Japanese garden hidden and peaceful. Also a huge rose garden alive in flowers in May. We spent 3 hours visiting this hillside and its gardens and greenhouses. Loved it! Discounted price...More

This place had several different areas and a half was on a slope which made for an interesting terrain. The greenhouse with rainforest was my favorite - so quiet and calm. The garden hand a mystical and fairytale-like atmosphere. They had signs for all plants...More

This is a delightful, small and peaceful garden behind the Palazzo Corsini in Trastevere. The garden stretches up the side of the Janiculum Hill and is divided by plantings ie pine, bamboo, palms and a rose garden which will be gorgeous in about six weeks...More

If you are interested in botanical gardens and visited some...don't try this one. Way to expensive for a badly maintained garden. The best experience were the views on the city and the friendly cat enjoying the sun.

Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
