A must see for any tourist. Always very crowded. The Spanish steps with the beautiful fountain in front. You are not allowed any more to sit on the steps.
Came to see the famous fountain, the Spanish steps, and Rome's largest piazza, but it was so very crowded, that we stopped at a cafe, hoping that the crowd would dissipate. There are many high-end luxury shops in the surrounding area.
You can't go to Rome without walking by Spanish Steps. it is indeed one of the most beautiful squares in the world. You can enjoy the beauty of Spanish Steps, Trinita' dei Monti Church, Spanish Embassy, lots of nice shops and boutiques and much much more!
Good food was the order of the day always hunger to taste more ,the home made wine was wonderful treat treat after dinner was completely awesome ! Icecreams and salads .late night coffee coretto was another surprise
The Italians have now decided that you cannot sit on the Spanish Steps. Why? I'm not sure. It used to be a gathering place for all walks of life and ethnicity and now it's just something to look at. Which is not bad but the atmosphere is gone.
