Heart of Vatican. Lot of people. Monumental square surrounded by St Peter's basilica and collonades. There's an Egyptian obelisk in the center of the square. If you want to avoid the crowds, come at the sunset.
It is quite a sight, whether from the approach road or from the front if the Basilica. We were fortunate that it wasn't too busy and got the opportunity to get a good look around.

Just think of the amazing celebrations and gatherings that have happened here in front of the Pope to celebrate rare the Roman Catholic Faith. The area is huge and can obviously take so many people - such a great feeing here.
