When you stand looking at this amazing sculpture you cannot help feeling moved by it. It brings a tear to your eye.
It might be crowded, it might get rough, you definitely will not get close to it, but to see La Pieta was for me a great thing. A masterpiece from a young Michelangelo, La Pieta is definitely worth it.
This is a beautiful piece of work by Michelangelo in his twenties. It is located on the right side of the entrance of St Peter’s Basilica and is stored in a glass case due to an earlier attack.
