Admired this as we sat having coffee and cake during our tour of the Vatican Museums. First thought was 'that's unusual'. We found sitting watching it spinning quite relaxing
The sphere rotates. It's a beautiful modern piece in the middle of the Cortile. Very thoughtful piece, fun to watch as you are taking a break in the outdoor cafe (best, most relaxing place to eat on the Vatican grounds... well worth the rest you won't find in the self service…
Our guide took us over to see this modern work of art and she and another guide pushed & rotated it. Very cool.
A stopping point during our entry into the tour of the museums, chapel and St Peter’s. Gardens were lovely, and sphere was interesting.
A very tasteful addition, obviously it everything can be centuries old, some things have to represent the present and this really does and is quite lovely.
