Not a bad little museum dedicated to Dante Alighieri. There is a film to start (request if you’d like it in English) followed by information boards and some displays regarding his life and works as a poet in the Middle Ages. I did not know...More

The buildings, the gardens and the site in general, is a really worth visiting place. There you can learn a lot of details about Dante's life in Ravenna.

This museum provided a pleasant contrast from the mosaics, imaginatevely explaining the life and works of Dante, probably insufficiently understood by most English speaking tourists

Obviously, monuments and dead poets don't really talk. The museum allowed Dante's voice and life to ring out in a unique fashion.

Ravenna has so many amazing attractions to offer that this one falls a bit short in comparison. The museum offers Dante's history as seen through the eyes of painters through the ages, as well as an exhibition on Ravenna's own historical ties to Dante's life...More
