a neoclassical masterpiece by Luigi Poletti, a theater among the most remarkable and innovative examples of 19th-century Italian theatrical architecture, inaugurated by Giuseppe Verdi who specifically wrote the Aroldo for the official inauguration in 1857. It was damaged by bombings in 1943 during the 2nd world war

We luckly got tickets for the London Symphony Orchestra and it has been great. The acustic is good and the decoration seems like the original one, even if it has just been reconstructed. I enjoyed my time there and also the dinner we had nearby.

This theater, largely destroyed by bombing in December 1943, was inaugurated in 1857. The last restoration ended in October 2018. An archaeological museum is planned for under the theater.

On the occasion of a private event organized by my company I had the opportunity to visit it and attend a small concert. Very beautiful restoration, in addition to the theater which is the jewel in the crown, all the rooms are beautiful.
