The square is lovely, but no matter the architecture or the fact that you are standing in the mideaval capital of one of the smallest countries in the world, you could be.standing on a rubbish tip and the cloudline view afforded to you 700metres up, looking over the Rimmini coast would make it worth it. This little country is stunning... More

Don't look at it only from the outside, in the days when the Council isn't working you can go inside too: admire the architecture and the Council Hall with the impressive fresco, it's worth a visit! If the weather is good, there's a stunning view of the hills around from Liberty Place (which is in front of the Palace).

We erre there for the change of guards, which was pretty cool. When we went in there was an exhibit about refugees and migrants. The pictures and statistics were truly interesting. It is also worth the stop to visit the congress room upstairs. It's incredible!

This is the government and town centre, with a large open square in the middle . Bordered with a number of restaurants , large fountain where everyone takes a picture and fancy dressed guards who are awfully patient about taking more pictures . Everyone seems to start here, and also end their day as the restaurants serve cocktails on their... More

Not sure what but there is smth special about this Palace: maybe the view of the whole city, maybe the architecture. Gives the feeling of greatness

The Plazzo Publblico is the heart of the San Maranese democracy. It is the parliament building for the tiny republic. The day we were there they had some sort of mock parlaiment with youth. They also have the ceremonial guard and of course the changing of the guards and much to see and explore inside the working heart of the... More

It was interesting to see the Chamber of the Grand and General Council and to learn about the system how they choose the Captains Regent. Also to watch the change of the Guards is interesting. You should go there 10 min. before the start to have a good position, since the change takes place in a very small place.

Wonderful Piazza for early morning pictures of the surroundings and with a bit of luck you can take a selfie with the guards of the palace
