This square is always full of people, busy, chaotic and noisy at any time.
However, it is a pleasant confusion, which brings with it the healthy noise of life being lived, and which can also be appreciated while sitting comfortably in one of the many cafés.
I will carry a good memory of it.

I am not sure if I can enter this building or not, but it was closed. I wish I could go inside. On the outside it was majestic and you can so feel the Roman empire presence. A must see in Trieste.

The Piazza sits between the Church of Sant' Antonio and the end of the Grand Canal. It was formed in the early 1930's when a section of the Grand Canal was filled with rubble.
Today there is a large fountain, which unfortunately was empty when we visited, a good number of trees and some market stalls. There are also a number of restaurants and cafes on the ground floor of the buildings surrounding the Piazza.
