It is indeed a very steep climb and you might prefer to take the 24 bus (every 40 mins from Stazione Centrale or the sea front by the Opera House). Of course there is also the option of a taxi. Nonetheless this is a 'must...More

The castle offer a nice view on the city of Trieste. The museum is very small and not so interesting to be honest, but for 3€ it deserves a visit.

Trieste has so much history. This was a great experience for us. The hike up and exploring the old steps and streets was gorgeous. The kids enjoyed seeing all the beauty. Go on a nice sunny day for beautiful photos at the top.

This is a pleasing castle overlooking Trieste. Quite a hike to get here from downtown, but you will be rewarded with some decent views which makes there effort worthwhile. The interior of the castle really isn't anything particularly special.

The best choice is to take the elevator into the parking backside Unità square. Then go downhill by feet in around 10 minutes. The bus ticket in 2017 is 1,25 euros for 60'
