When you think of Trieste you think of the Canale Grande. This is a must see flanked by churches, shops and other attractions you are only a short walk to the Piazza dell'Unita d'Italia

So nice on a beautiful day to stroll this canal. Not much to do and no shops so after a few photos and a nice walk, that's it.

We have just passed by this canal. It is nothing special compared to other cities. On the other hand, it looked OK and did not smell.

Very cosmopolitan with many choices of cafe bars where you can sit, relax and people watch. The canal is very short however the surrounding areas will not disappointment you.

The side of the canal was being renovated to accomodate fiber optics for faster internet usage. Overall a nice place to stroll and a centerpiece in the city of Trieste.

Nice location where restaurants and bars are open during the night. This is their grand canal and near the municipal center in Trieste.
