This museum has a nice selection of modern artwork, but it not so terribly big that you have to spend that many hours there. Not only is it a museum for artwork, it's also the previous mansion of Baron Revoltella so you also get to...More

The museum, the former home of Pasquale Revoltella, is a two part delight. It would be worth the price of admission for the house and contents alone, but the Gallery of Modern Art attached to it, is also worth spending an hour or two in....More

It's an excellent museum with good gallery. The house of Revoltella is also great. However, it's not so friendly for those who cannot understand Italian. So I suggest to put more English illustration.

This museum is actually two in one. You get to visit the XIX mansion of the Baron Revoltella with its lavish rooms, beautifully decorated. You can see not only his private collection of paintings but also furniture, statues and ornaments. When you reach the third...More

This museum is magnificent. The art and furnishings are beautiful. Don't forget to read about the history of the man that donated all of this to Trieste and his contribution to the building of the Suez Canal.

Until today we had never heard about Pasquale Revoltella. We visited his mansion close to the harbour and learnt a lot about his life in the 19th century. He was involved in many important ventures such as the realisation of the Suez Canal and the...More

The original home of Revoltella allows you to imagine life as it was in the 19th century in this mansion. The adjoining modern art museum extends to six floors and has amazing views from the sixth floor terrace. Definitely well worth a visit.

We stupidly only allowed an hour and a half to visit this museum. It is a magnificent space and with a terrific modern art collection, as well as some paintings concerning Trieste history. Not to mention (but I will) the fantastic views from the museum’s...More
