This is a great museum. The preserved palazzo is fantastically over the top and fun to look around. Revoltella's art collection is well presented, interspersed with more modern pieces. The top levels of the Museum display early to mid 20th century art. The way that...More

The choices made to transform the collection of Count Revoltella in a museum of modern art with a touch of contemporary are decidedly bold. Bravo! I recommend starting from the top floor and down from floor to floor, enjoying a pop up of contemporary works.

Great museum - you get to visit the Barone fully restored mansion and the extensive painting collections in the new, wonderfully built wing, done by Carlo Scarpa.

Went to Museo Revoltella on the last day of my weekend. Very interesting - combination of an art gallery and a period house. Definitely worth a visit

This city museum was founded in 1872 and now spills into two neighbouring buildings. Baron Revoltella's original mid-19th-century house is brimming with chandeliers, ornate gilded plasterwork and flamboyant silk wallpaper. The modern Palazzo Brunner has an interesting collection of 19th- and 20th-century works by Triestine...More

The perfect rainy day activity in Mestre. There is plenty of lesser-known 20th Century art that I had never come across and was of very high quality. I spent all day, having a break for lunch, sketching here. In particular the spaces designed by Carlo...More

It is true the range of art is somewhat narrow - mostly early 20th century Italian. However, I found it to be absolutely lovely and am really glad that I went. It is definitely worth seeing and will not take a great deal of time.
