Staircase to heaven, another description of Cingue Terre. The trails, paths and staircases are what places Cingue Terre on the must experience world sites list. Great walk.

From the train station you climb these stairs up to Corniglia. They are pretty winding but aren't too steep and are wide enough for people to pass by you while you rest.

We had no idea that going to Corniglia meant a further climb of nearly 400 steps after walking from Monterosso to Vernazza that morning - luckily I suppose we had no choice but in the end it’s the gateway to this pretty town in the...More

After a long walk from the train station, and ramping to start up the hill, find these zig zag steps that just go on and on and on. Surely fun for the young, but older people will find these steps agony. Luckily, albeit we did...More

Beautiful experience just to walk from Corniglia down to the train station - greatest stairwell ever!

Even if this will take more than a few minutes and it's pretty tiring the view of Corniglia once you are at the top is awesome.

Best way to get or stay fit is to tackle the Scalinata Lardarina. Well this is the best way after the actual walking trail of the five villages. It's even more exciting on a cold day, as it will keep you warm, although I would...More

The trails are fun and a good exercise and on top of that they do provide you with great views of the town. Corniglia is a pretty town and the one at the highest point, so whenever hiking there you do have an elevation, but...More

Over 400 steps to the top(they don't look as much), get ready for a climb with a great view. If you are not really into climbing those steps there is a bus you can take from the train station to the town.
