Visited in May 2012 as part of our Italian tour where we came to cinque terre for a day trip by boat and departed by train. Beach is quiet with not too many people on it. Walked along the pebbly beach. If you want a seat, you have to rent it. Water was still cool and weather was between overcast... More

We have now spent the last three afternoons at this private beach and bar area. Essentially a walk in the morning before it gets too hot and then laying in a chair for the rest of the day until close at 7pm. The cost for two deck chairs and an umbrella is 20 euro and a 5 euro charge for... More

You cannot find a more relaxing place to have some drinks or even some food. This place is desirably situated right on Old Town Monterosso Beach with incredible views of the surrounding areas. We were here in early June when the temperatures were extremely pleasant and the zephyr pleasant to the face. We were promptly seated and served. Our drinks... More

Crowded little corner of the world but charming non the less. We've enjoyed an afternoon in Monterosso al Mare and we took a 5 min train ride to neighbouring Vernazza. We drove from Florence 2.5 hours each way but wished we had had a full day to explore a bit more. Maybe staying one night would've been nice. Monterosso was... More

It is a beach bar in Monterosso. We've been in a tour and didn't hire the lunch. We don't regret that option because we found that bar in front of the beach and was amazing. We ate mortadella, cheese and pesto sandwiches with limonata. Everything was really good and well served. It isn't expensive and the sea view is invaluable!... More

Well, this is the only gig in town so after a long trek from Vernazza I get that you are a bit at their mercy. But, hear me out... I rented a kayak for my daughter and friend to use from Beach Bar Alga. Thinking they were instructed to stay in the cove, I didn't fret that no lifejackets were... More

The beach was the reason we decided to visit Monterosso. Although we discovered parts to this harbour town which we missed out on during our last flying visit here, last year. We discovered that the town is well worth a day of exploring. Back to the beach ...the charge for two sun lounges, and an umbrella was €20 from 2pm... More

This is a great little place, food good and reasonably priced an Italian style toasted sandwich with ham, cheese salad etc for 5 euro. Salads really fresh and the ginger mojita so refreshing. It uses italian ingredients in innovative ways. People are great and it is right on the beach.

This place is great. It is a bar that happens to serve great small meals or snacks. The people are lovely and they give great service. The view is amazing. We went there every day during our two week stay, occasionally for breakfast which offered great coffee and things like toasted focaccias or sandwiches and always for pre dinner drinks... More

We stopped in here to have a glass of wine and appetizer...slow service...granted, it was a slow time of day and waitstaff must have all gone on break (2pm), but it was marginal at best...the view is great, of course, but far better bars, restaurants throughout Monterroso and the area!
