We visited Vernazza for a couple of nights while touring Italy in early Summer. It is a beautiful spot and really should not be missed if visiting Liguria. You have to get a train to get the there as cars are not allowed in the village which really adds to the attraction of the place. No traffic whatsoever!.... this wasn't... More

Vernazza is certainly the most beautiful of the 5 villages of Cinque Terra. Make no mistake though, no matter how off the beaten track you think you are going (3 hours from Florence by train), this is a major tourist destination. We are glad we came during off season, which while chilly and damp (no swimming In the water, sadly)was... More

The whole Cinque Terra is fabulous but to approach Vernazza by boat is awesome. Once on dry land, you walk through the streets that are abuzz with people, charm and incredible restaurants.

Vernazza is probably the nicest of the 5 villages of Cinqueterre. The arrival and the view from the coastal path is breathtaking, the littble hidden cove is the cutest place in all Cinqueterre.

We spent the most time in Vernazza and could have spent more. Everything is something to look at. Spectacular. I will definitely go back to Cinque Terre and explore more of Vernazza.

Really beautiful village in the Cinque Terre. Still a little closed for the end of winter, but I guess mid summer could be hectic. Time has stood still. Do it slowly!

In 2013 we went to Riomaggiore but didn't have time to visit the other 4 cities. So when we planned to return, we knew we wanted to see the other cities. This time, we stayed in Vernazza and hiked and took the train to the other cities. We enjoyed Vernazza but honestly, each of the cities is quite gorgeous.

You can hike to this place, but I took the train! A very pleasant harbour, in a very beautiful village. Despite the Saturday crowds, I was able to enjoy the scenery and the cultural attractions.

We have been to Vernazza a number of times and the people are always friendly. A great place to take a break from the road. Enjoy some great food, and Italian hospitality.

It's hard to pick a favorite place on the coasts of Italy, but Vernazza would surely make it to the top. The harbor, the warm sun, the cafeterias around the bay, delicious gelatos and cold Aperols, people laying in the sun - everything contributes to such a peaceful, yet full of life atmosphere; Vernazza seems to me a quintescence of the...
