So glad I made it to Castello d’Albertis as I skipped it on previous visits to Genoa. As some have mentioned, there isn’t much in English other than a few cards, but you don’t have to know the history to appreciate the beauty. I went...More

We took the elevator/train straight up from a shoot just you threw right of the hotel savoia. When you get off the cakes is to the right. From there you can see the entire Central City down below you. The castle grounds are popular with...More

The castello is not as old as you might think. It has different exhibits, mainly focusing around travelling. It is on a hill so offers views over the city of Genua. Some exhibits could be more interesting.

We stumbled on this by chance after getting the elevator to it from Via Balbi near the train station. The Lift is only 80 cents and definitely an experience the castle is at the top as you come out and easy to find. The lack...More

We just wanted a walk and an adventure, so we took the "lift" up from Via Balbi to the castle. We wandered the grounds a little, took pictures of the view, and got a water in the little outside cafe. Then we were glad we...More

Stand in the square outside Piazza Principe station, look up past the statue of Christopher Columbus and you will see the towers of Castello D’Albertis. I wondered what it was, and finding out was easier than I expected. There is a really interesting (if you're...More
