The delightful couple on entrance refused to let my 8 year old son use the toilet in the castle, despite suffering sever stomach cramps. And despite the fact that children under 12 enter free anyway!! So I then have to pay 5euro just to accompany...More

The fortification on top of the cliff pops in sight as soon as you see Portofino. Its easy to find, but the hike there can take your breath away if not physically fit, fortunately the way there is green and fresh. The place has a...More

Amazing to visit, and even more amazing to realize it was a private residence at one time. Definitely worth the short walk up the hill!

No doubt it is a lovely view as many mention, but that's pretty much it? We actually enjoyed the walk up, though it is a bit challenging, and mind you Castello Brown opens at 10am. It's a lovely place, quick stroll through, but IMO that's...More

Nice walk up from the harbour but sadly lacking when you get here. The black and white photos of 50s and 60s celebs are intriguing and the views are spectacular but it feels lacking somehow. 5 € entry.

Nice view and that's what you pay for. I honestly don't quite get the vibe of Portofino. Do people like it because the wealthy liked it?

Castello Brown is not the most interesting of places however the gardens are pretty and the views over Portofino are spectacular. Climbing the many steps are well worth the effort!

Climbed to the Castillo Brown to view that Harbor. Worth the "few" stairs and effort . From above the sea port links amazing as well as the coastline .

It's not so much about an Italian castle, than an incredible view of Portofino. There are pleasant gardens to walk through, but the the highlight is the viewpoint you have, looking down on the harbour. There is also a 5 Euro per person charge.

You cannot come to portofino without seeing the view from atop castle brown. The castle itself is not that interesting, but the views are spectacular. I initially thought it was closed because the entrance to the park down by the pier was closed, but there...More

It took me about 30 minutes to climb. It's a solid hike. Not sure if there is any transportation available. The views are breathtaking.
