This old castle sits right on the waterfront and is nicely lit up at night. Very visible from the many restaurants along the waterfront

Staying at Hotel Italia it's pretty hard not to notice the castle . Every day we enjoyed our time looking out upon this beautiful piece of local history . Built to protect the city from pirates that never did return . Hopefully one day when we do return we can see the inside .

Used for art exhibitions so not all open and only during specifc times of the day. Lovely public beach right on it's base.

Right outside my bedroom window but rarely open. The only reason I got to see inside was that there was an art exhibition. Hard to get the feel for the place with the exhibition fit out. It is going to be one of those places that most people only get to see from the outside.

The Castello is situated right on the seafront in Rapallo - and you can rent apartments in it! The entire seafront of Rapallo is nothing less than a joy to walk along - even at midnight it's crowded and great for people-watching. Highly Recommended.

While making short visit to Rapallo just to get the impression of the town admired the castel, that is definitely worth of seing. Nice sample of the care of local authorities and people after all historical heritage, that you can see everywhere in Italy. Impressive
