Well worth taking cable car up above the city for views and restful location. the monastery is very nice and their are places to eat (or stay) beside it.

If you're lucky, you'll get to the church while mass is in progress. Don't worry about not speaking the language. If you have any knowledge of Catholicism, you'll be able to follow.

Beautiful church at top of funivia ride with lots of votives attesting miracle hearings. Gift shop of religious articles on the left side. Very spiritual place.

The church itself is nothing special but the surrounding mountains are gorgeous and the short walk behind the church was delightfully shady and tranquil (that is until a gaggle of chattering Italians show up)

The cable car opens at 9:00 until 12:30 then 14:00 to 17:30 with a frequency of one every 30 minutes.
