We walked up the steps to be great by the beautiful church we then had a walk around the garden that were well kept. The view of the sea and villages were amazing. So worth a trip and it totally free! The turtles are a real treat too.

love this place. it's a park right on the top of the hill of Santa Margherita. There is a beautiful castle with columns, white statues, fontains with turtles... well... and the vew is down for the port with boats and yachts...nice to read a book there, of to have a drink in the bar, to make some pictures or just have a walk... Highly RECCOMEND!!!!!!

Decided to walk up this street to get a closer look at the church and to my right was an entrance to what I thought was a private residence's garden until a local said go on in and have a nice walk. Wow! It was acres of gardens on multiple levels. The baron had it built to be the summer home. Peaceful, serene with period architecture and sculptures. An incredible view of the sea. I read about this villa but didn't plan this visit because I'm hiking all day on trails and have seen a few gardens in my time . The majestic setting draws you in and does not disappoint. Granted, the weather was sunny and 70's but I would see again on a drizzly day in winter. The moral of this story is there are no two gardens alike. Lesson learned.

Inside the house is nice but nothing special. Unless you really want to go in, I wouldn't bother. Only a few rooms and not really furnished. Took us 5 minutes to go round. Gardens are free though and worth seeing. Lovely views over the sea and a pond with lots of turtles. Worth a bit of a climb and there's a beautiful church next to it.

Without dodging mopeds. Stunning villa and interesting history of the actual owner who was from Albanian and very influential in the region. Cool park like setting. Beware of tree nuts falling. The weight over 5kg!

It is a nice place to walk around and see all of the different sculptures and statues but can be a little slippery and treacherous if the ground is wet so make sure you wear good shoes

We went in the early morning before the house was open to visitors, but the walk up and the grounds are beautiful. Worth the climb but for some it can be a bit challenging since it is uneven. Use caution.

It is a villa in a park area. Stop here to have a birds eye view of Ligure, walk in a calm garden and if you like to have drink&food at the cafe inside. You can visit the Villa itself it is a museum also with ticket. When you finish walk down through park to downtown...

This is a nice villa with history and despite its small size it is well maintained and curated with period furniture. If you are staying in Santa Margherita Ligure you shouldn't miss it.
