Spent the day here while on route to Portofino. In my opinion, It blows away Portofino. Santa Margherita is MUCH BETTER! The city has everything you can imagine on a holiday. Great beach, long walks with marvelous people watching, lots of shops and tons of...More

All I can say is that it is a magical place and remember in my previous blogs I spoke about the colour schemes they have, well this place is all about earthly colours, beautiful buildings, serene harbour. That's it in a nutshell.

Santa Margherita is a beautiful port city and a nice walk/run to Portofino. It was not crowded and had many nice restaurants and bars along the waterfront.

We had a car and found that very easy but spoke to people who used the train and they loved it? If you have the time then suggest train as you get to see more and no worries of parking?!
