You pay Euro 3.00 pp to get inside. The museum may be interesting only to the true Italy history fans. But the views from the tower are amazing.

At the very top of the old town is the castle. The views are incredible. Most of the walls are intact, but was a bot disapointed that there was nowhere to go inside and see the ruins. Could be made more of an attraction for...More

Closed for renovations, we just walked around the gardens that were pleasant enough, including, bizarrely, a tank.

We were tipped off about the Rocca, as it didn't seem to feature on any of the 'must see' lists for Citta Alta. It appears to be an old fortress, perched on a higher bit of ground, about level with rooftops of surrounding buildings. Not...More

Very beautiful walking upper city. Wonderful churches and other sites. The fortress and castle were nice but not as much to see as I would have wanted. The archaeological site seems to be permanently closed and can only be viewed through windows. Still a very...More

If you were to do one thing in the area, make sure you walk up here to see the views. Walk all around the grounds and get panoramic views that are amazing.

The old fortress offers great views all over the area and is very beautiful. However, the museum itself is a bit of a disappointment, especially since there seemed to be no guidance available in any other language than Italian. If the weather is nice, you...More

Not crowded, great views, classic fortress, nice atmosphere, near the historic old town square, and has a history museum that is very interesting and no one in it.

Castle exhibition was not translated into English so could not tell but I do not think any info on this was given. Try the castle itself.
