In order to get to this place it is best advised that you take the cable train and the tickets for the cable train can be purchased from the small paper shop just next to the bus stop . We tried to buy the tickets...More

We bought a combination ticket for Rocca, Tore Civica and Donizetti. We loved the free gardens at Rocca with a beautiful view, but didn't care much for the museum which focuses on the unification of Italy. We wanted to go the walls around the museum...More

Whilst the castle itself may not get one too excited, the views when you get there are most definitely worth the effort. We have some great pictures to prove it

This area of park land has its serious side as there are plaques and lists of those who died in the world wars. The views of the old town and the Italian roofs are wonderful.

A multi pass allows you to go into most of the paid exhibits. Here you can admire the massive construction of the fortress and it’s walls and walk on them to view the surrounding buildings.

Hiking up to this castle offers excellent view of the upper and lower town. The castle itself doesn't have much to see, but the view of hiking and climbing on top of the castle are worth to climb

You pay Euro 3.00 pp to get inside. The museum may be interesting only to the true Italy history fans. But the views from the tower are amazing.

At the very top of the old town is the castle. The views are incredible. Most of the walls are intact, but was a bot disapointed that there was nowhere to go inside and see the ruins. Could be made more of an attraction for...More

Closed for renovations, we just walked around the gardens that were pleasant enough, including, bizarrely, a tank.

We were tipped off about the Rocca, as it didn't seem to feature on any of the 'must see' lists for Citta Alta. It appears to be an old fortress, perched on a higher bit of ground, about level with rooftops of surrounding buildings. Not...More

Castle exhibition was not translated into English so could not tell but I do not think any info on this was given. Try the castle itself.
