Situated to the left of the Basilica, entering the cathedral and duomo is the easily accessible when walking around the square. The interior is beautiful and has stunning frescoed ceilings and cappelas. Free leaflets are available as you enter which give information on the different areas inside.

A bit shy facade, what cannot be said regarding the interior - the altar area in particular. While not as intransigent as the Basilica (what is an upside for me, actually) - definitely rich. Some marble choices seem controvelsiar however and comparing the floors of sacral buildings to some other Italian locations, missed opportunity.

I'm not a fan of visiting churches, so probably I didn't appreciate it as much as I should have. It's free, near other attractions and even enjoyed visiting it.

The Duomo was interesting to see though not as richly endowed as the Basilica. We were lucky to hear the organist trying out the organ during our visit.

There is so much to see inside this cathedral, you just can't stop taking pictures until you realize the reality can't be caught on photos.

Located beside Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore, this cathedral was built in the 17th century and renovated in the 19th century. The interior is stunning especially the apse done by Tiepolo.

We visited this magnificent cathedral in the upper city of Bergamo and found the interior to be just divine. The stone inlay work and the ceiling was truly heavenly. The side altars were as impressive as the main altar. Well worth a visit, but don't miss the Basilica either

I saw lots of cathedrals in many different places. But I really captivated with that. Bergamo is not a so big city instead of the other cities that I have visited so honestly I didn't enter the inside with a lot of expectation. But this cathedral is amazing and very very breath taking with the full of art

Bergamo is absolutely my favorite city in Italy. Citta Alta Bergamo, where this church resides. This is the quintessential Italian city in my opinion. A University town, so there is lots of young people, and the churches as this one, are magnificent. Go in the morning, before the tourists are out and get some quiet time with God. He's definitely...
