From the top of the bell tower 'Il Campanone' you have a truly breathtaking view of all of Bergamo - the beautiful old town on the top of the hill, the modern city around it and the mountains in the distance. The lift takes you quickly to the top - or you can walk up, save some money and loose... More

The museo Storico are actually a couple of museums combined. With the combination ticket you can visit the tower, Rocca (1800's), Donizetti (opera) and Podesta (next to the tower).. We reallly enjoyed the tower and Pallazo del Podesta. Although everything was in Italian there were some of the most innovative museum experiences I have seen. For example there was a... More

The Museo Storico is not exactly a museum. Good work has been done using technology in order to show Bergamo's history, usingprojections & images as well as sounds and narration. Unfortunately the narration is only in italian so the non-italian speakers can't in fact understand and enjoy this project. My children who don't speak italian were expecting a lot (having... More

The Museo Storico is a great little museum that displays the history of Bergamo in a completely unique way. Each exhibit, or room, is interactive and different in its own way. There are videos and clips talking about and showing important items and events in the history of Bergamo under Venitian rule of course, but there are more. One exhibit... More

The history of Bergamo since about 1100 is shown in a very unique museum -- very little "real", but "virtual" -- done on overlapping screens, pull-out drawers that show spices, hard to describe but a very interesting and worthwhile experience. The man who sold us the tickets spent a lot of time explaining various parts of the displays and enhanced... More

Spent the evening from 8:00 to almost midnight at a black tie gala dinner at this beautiful museum. Appetizers and drinks on the balcony overlooking the valleys and the city, then multi-course dinner in a stunning event room. Service and food equally as incredible as the location. Director Visentin is an expert in his field and most gracious host.
