It's quite a climb. Check the opening hours because outside the season the garden is closed in the middle of the day, and you have to walk longer to get to the main entrance. It's free of charge, really tiny, but the views are great. There's a Japanese citrus tree at the entrance (in the autumn it has aromatic fruits)... More

It's a long climb without a large botanical payoff, but the view is spectacular and the flowers are lovely even though it is not an overwhelming collection. We were there early in the season, but I sense that this is a community venture that tries to bring gardens to the residents of Bergamo. Definitely worth a stop while you are... More

Cute little botanical garden on the side of the hill, with a great view over the town. A couple of little ponds with water lilies and an interesting time line of plants as you climb the stairs to the entrance.

It's a pity that the garden isn't larger, as it offers an interesting selection of plants & fantastic views. Try to get it in season, and an hour should be enough allocated time.

10 mins walk from the Natural Science museum,a little uphill. Small so easy to get around . Seated areas to relax. Toilets on site. No glasshouses that I could see.

From the Citta Alta its a short walk up to the botanic garden, but it's all uphill! I've been a few times over the years, its quite small and not that spectacular. What I like is that it provides some good views of the vale behind Bergamo, its rare to see other people there, occassionally you see a gardener sort... More

It's a bit of a climb to get to this small open air botanical garden. There is a tiny artificial lake and plenty of benches where you can sit and read or enjoy the quiet, but not much else to do. In the warm times of the year beware of mosquitoes. You may want to skip this place in favor... More

Not a great botanic garden by any means but a very pleasant spot to sit and admire the view over the old town. Not very much visited and there are picnic tables so a good place for a lunch break.

Have visited this garden 4 or 5 times now over the past few years and have seen it slowly evolve. Access is up a steep flight of steps and a slope. Very tranquil place with good views. Exit is down a different path through a herb/veg garden and a greenhouse with cacti. Interesting 'eco' toilet, drinks machine available at the... More
